Dublin-based Avia Solutions Group (ASG), the world’s largest ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) provider, is launching its first Global Services Centre in Manila, the Philippines. The Centre is expected to start operations in January 2025, focusing primarily on supporting the technical and flight operations of ASG airlines and MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) organizations. In addition, it will contribute to corporate services, including IT, payroll, finance, and other administrative functions across the Group’s subsidiaries.
Avia Solutions Group Global Services Philippines will be responsible for a wide range of functions, including those specific to the aviation industry, including flight operations support, maintenance planning, and technical documentation management.
The Group chose the Philippines for several key reasons, including the depth and quality of the local talent pool, and the country’s strategic location. South-East Asia has the world’s fastest-growing air travel market, with Boeing forecasting 8% annual traffic growth over the next 20 years. Therefore, it is one of the regions where the Group sees the most expansion potential, including plans to secure their Air Operator Certificate (AOC) in the Philippines. In recent years it has established airlines in Thailand, Indonesia, and Australia, with plans to enhance its footprint further.
“Global Services Centre will provide comprehensive remote workforce solutions tailored to our companies, strengthening their global operations and enabling sustainable growth. We see this as a natural step in the Group’s global development strategy,” says Jonas Janukenas, CEO of Avia Solutions Group.
“Talents joining us can expect a truly international culture, competitive salaries, and the opportunity to work on projects that enhance the efficiency of global aviation operations. And as continuous improvement is a key pillar of Avia Solutions Group’s working culture, our new colleagues will be able to level up to quickly progress with us and build a meaningful career in an area that knows no borders – aviation,” Fernando Bernardo Beluan, Head of Avia Solutions Group Global Services Centre, shares.
The Global Services Centre will support the Group’s extensive corporate portfolio, which spans six continents, includes 250+ companies, and 14,000+ professionals. Avia Solutions Group specializes in a wide range of aviation services, including ACMI leasing, aircraft maintenance, pilot and crew training, ground handling, and more. Currently, the Group has 11 Air AOCs, allowing its airlines to operate across more than 60 countries.
Due to the global nature of the Group’s operations, the Centre will be operating 24/7, ensuring uninterrupted support and services. Like the majority of global companies setting up their centres in the Philippines, Avia Solutions Group Global Services Centre will be in the business district of Bonifacio Global City, Metro Manila.
More information about career opportunities in Manila will be made available soon on ASG’s global careers portal.
