AviaAM Leasing, a Warsaw Stock Exchange listed global aviation holding company engaged in the business of commercial aircraft acquisition, leasing and sales, has announced the delivery of Airbus A321-211 to its long-standing partner Yamal Airlines. The aircraft was leased to the carrier under an operating lease agreement for the term of 6 years.
Prior to the aircraft delivery, AviaAM Leasing has conducted a comprehensive set of works, including a 12 year check, cabin refurbishment and livery change. The Airbus A321-211 aircraft, being fully customized in accordance with the carrier’s requirements, was delivered to Yamal on the 9th of September.
“The beginning of our cooperation with Yamal Airlines dates back to 2011 with the delivery of eight Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft. I am confident that the success of executing this latest order will only further strengthen our relationship and lead to ongoing cooperation for many years to come,” said Tadas Goberis, Chairman of the Board and CEO of AviaAM Leasing.
According to Romualdas Legetavicius, Technical Director of AviaAM Leasing, the extent of modifications required by the lessee posed considerable technical challenges. However, with the assistance of its partners AviaAM Leasing was able to meet each and every one of the carrier’s expectations.
